Newdreamers – Chapter 11.

The current dramatic environmental situation has given rise to a wave of youth and not-so-youth protests. However, there is no single obvious way to save the planet, and the “how” is a big subject of debate: what kind of society do we want “after”? Is any way out of the ecological crisis a valid one?

“My name is Irene Rubiera, I am 21 years old and I have been involved in environmental activism for some time now. I started this as a result of the international movement Fridays For Future and over the last few years I have been diversifying the organisations and movements I work with, but always with the same objective; to achieve a better city, a better planet and a better life in the face of the ecological crisis. I am also studying law and have always wanted to dedicate myself to environmental law (which I am starting to do now), so that I can take the struggle of the demonstrations and protests to the courts as well“.
